The house is surrounded by a field which is elevated and completely private with wonderful sea views. This land is very fertile - last century it was a huge market-garden, and more recently organic strawberries have been grown here. The soil is rich and of good consistency.

Beyond this field is an 85 ha farm, most above the house, stretching up the ridge and joining onto the 75,000 ha Coromandel Forest Park, administered by the Department of Conservation. The farm is partly pasture with areas of regenerating and of mature native bush. It has wonderful views over the Firth of Thames. At present the farm is grazed with beef and dairy beef cattle and a few sheep, and this arrangement could continue if new tenants for the house do not wish to farm the land.

Optionally some land can be offered as a smallholding, and possibly more of the farm, by negotiation. We want to find tenants who value this special place and this means we are flexible and open to suggestion - we could even offer the house and a smallholding for sale to the right people.
