Coromandel Batteries are one of the largest importers of Narada batteries in NZ. Unlike others who supply “to order” with long lead times, we keep stock of the most popular sizes ready for immediate dispatch.
We supply 2 volt batteries, the REXC series, in capacities from 300 to 1200 Ah that can be linked to form 12V, 24V and 48V battery banks. We also supply 6 volt 300 Ah batteries, the 6REXC-300, for those who need less capacity. We aim always to keep a stock of the most popular sizes – 2V in 300, 600 and 1000 Ah, and 6V in 300Ah.
Narada lead-carbon batteries have earned a great reputation in the New Zealand market over the last 8 years. The REXC technology can handle deeper discharge much better than regular lead acid batteries and also performs better in partial state of charge situations so common with solar installations, making these heavy duty batteries ideal for use in off-grid or on-grid hybrid solar PV installations. The lead carbon battery technology provides not only a higher energy density and longer cycle life than traditional lead-acid batteries, but also faster charging and and the ability to supply more current when required. Also they do not require maintenance such as topping up with water, and can be mounted in any position unlike flooded lead-acid batteries.
We have been selling Narada batteries since 2017, initially to off-grid homeowners on the Coromandel Peninsula.
